2009 Annual Meeting

The theme of the 2009 Annual Meeting program was "Judicial Reasoning and Philosophy - Making Good Judicial Decisions." The program provided both a look into the theoretical aspects of the philosophy of legal reasoning and the very practical aspects of judicial decision-making. This focus on judicial reasoning and philosophy can help judges make good judicial decisions in a fair and thoughtful manner and help promote fairness in and access to Ohio's courts. The 2009 Annual Meeting took place on September 17th and 18th at the Embassy Suites, Dublin.

2008 Annual Meeting

The theme of the 2008 Annual Meeting program was "Ensuring Fairness in Ohio's Courts." The perception of unfair, biased, or unequal treatment is an important source of popular dissatisfaction with the American legal system today. Judges can help alleviate much of the public dissatisfaction with the judicial branch by paying critical attention to the key elements of procedural fairness. The 2008 Annual Meeting took place on September 11 and 12th at the Embassy Suites, Dublin.
